This is fingering weight yarn, three plies. These were kettle dyed a tonal brown, then brown grey and finally glazed with black. Overall, a warm taupe y grey, like very dark Back Deck. This BFL is not "smooshy" like Merino. It is a bit rustic, hard wearing, tends not to pill and softens greatly over time, which makes it ideal for socks (though I like
