Athena - Original Barn Owl Painting cushion ready to fit in aAthena was the Olympian goddess of war and wisdom, hence her association with owls. The colour of the barn owls feathers are reminiscent of the materials used in Greek sculpture limestone, marble and chryselephantine. She also features a meander key design with metallic gold paint which shimmers in the light, giving the artwork an extra dimension and ethereal beauty. Painted in acrylic on 10 x 10 mount board. Comes in a cello envelope for protection.
