I had a Tascam 22-2 in that I was hoping to repair but inside it was smashed to bits so was only good for some parts I needed

if its the Power supply gone :-)

Widely used on the earlier Teac tape recorders and often break if the recorder gets a sideways knock

just seen that its the same in the 244 as well
