Clever darting from the shoulders to the bust adds further shape to the coat and the sleeves have been adorned with matching arrow embroidery

The coat is in very good condition with only some slight fuzziness to the embroidery and some visible stitch holes where a dart has been taken out

The padded shoulders are further emphasised with the folded overhanging fabric at the shoulders

The unusual collar leads to five gorgeous carved mother of pearl buttons which fasten the blazer and alternating petal flaps to add a wonderful design detail

the jacket is lined in acetate and has maker’s labels for Duchess Royal and a silk fabric label

It was cut in the classic swing coat silhouette with lightly padded shoulders and a loose, voluminous fit below. Whilst beautiful sun ray darting adorns the front of the neckline as well as the back of the coat, the small collar leads to a single row of four gorgeous triangle plastic buttons.
